Who We Are

Replica Sabers is a small, independent UK business run by people who are genuinely into this. It started as a passion — Michael Thackeray has been selling and working with lightsabers since 2019, first on Etsy and then through his own site — and became a registered business in December 2023.

The team is small and you'll reach it directly. Michael runs the business and the workshop, checks and tests every saber, and handles the technical side. Sophie looks after customer service, so when you get in touch there's a real person on the other end who knows the products — not an overseas ticket queue.

Where We're Based and How We Work

We operate from our workshop in Caistor, Lincolnshire, where every saber we sell is inspected, powered on and tested before it ships. Where a saber supports it, we set up the sound fonts and settings so it arrives ready to use. When you buy from us, your saber is handled by someone who knows what they're looking at — and who's here in the UK if anything ever needs sorting.

What We Stock and Why

We specialise in Xenopixel Neopixel and RGB lightsabers — not because they're the cheapest boards available, but because after years working with saber electronics, these are the ones we trust for out-of-the-box performance, long-term reliability and genuine smooth-swing accuracy.

Every saber we stock is chosen against that standard. If a board doesn't hold up in testing, we stop selling it. That's why our range is more focused than some competitors' — we'd rather stand behind a smaller set of sabers we know are good.

We also stock replica swords, helmets and accessories, chosen and tested the same way.

Our Commitment

Every order ships with UK support. No import fees, no customs delays, no overseas returns limbo. If something goes wrong, you contact our UK team and we deal with it — not a factory in another timezone that stops answering after the sale.

Every saber carries a 12-month UK warranty covering electronics and manufacturing defects, handled by us, plus a 60-day returns window.

The Person Behind It

Michael has been fascinated by lightsabers for as long as he can remember, and turned that into a business in 2019 — assembling the digital side (web design, SEO) and the craft side (prop making through CNC and 3D printing) himself.
