Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about our lightsabers, delivery, returns and warranty. If the answer is not here, just ask us.

Yes. Our lightsabers are built on combat-grade hilts and blades designed for regular duelling. Each saber is tested in our Lincolnshire workshop before it ships, and your purchase is covered by a 12-month UK warranty for manufacturing and electronics faults.

As with any prop weapon, we recommend eye protection and avoiding full-force strikes to faces or unprotected hands.

Yes. We ship worldwide with tracked delivery, typically arriving in 7–14 business days after dispatch.

For the UK and most major regions we cover VAT and import duties, so the checkout price is final. A few countries — including Germany, Poland and Turkey — may apply their own charges due to local regulations. See our shipping page for detail.

Dispatch time is 5–11 days, because every saber is prepared and tested to order rather than pulled off a shelf. After that, UK delivery is free and tracked, arriving in 2–5 business days.

Need it by a specific date? Ask us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

Right here. Replica Sabers is a UK specialist based in Caistor, Lincolnshire — we check, test and ship every saber from our own workshop.

Buying from a UK seller means no import fees, no customs delays, a local warranty, and UK-based repairs. Browse the range.

RGB uses a single high-power LED in the hilt, shining light up the blade. It is the toughest option on impact and the most affordable — ideal for heavy duelling and first sabers.

Neopixel runs a strip of individually-addressable LEDs inside the blade itself. That gives you rising ignition, blade shimmer, dramatically brighter output and film-accurate effects. It is the collector's choice.

Our buyer's guide compares them properly.

Yes — a 12-month UK warranty as standard, covering manufacturing and electronics faults. Repairs are handled in our own Caistor workshop, not shipped overseas.

No. For the UK and most major regions we cover VAT, import and customs duties. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — nothing lands on your doormat later.

Exceptions apply in a few countries (including Germany, Poland and Turkey) due to local regulations.

If you plan to duel hard, start with RGB — the LED sits safely in the hilt, so there is no blade strip to damage, and it is the most affordable entry point.

If you want the screen-accurate look and effects for display and lighter duelling, go Neopixel.

Still unsure? Message the workshop. We would rather talk you into the right saber than sell you the wrong one.

Yes. Every hilt is combat-grade with a thick-walled polycarbonate blade and reinforced chassis, tested for duelling before dispatch.

RGB sabers take the heaviest punishment. Neopixel blades are duel-capable but the LED strip inside means they suit medium to light contact better than full-force sparring.

Wear eye protection, and avoid strikes to faces and unprotected hands.

Your saber arrives ready to use and tested, with the blade fitted, the soundboard configured, and a charging cable included.

Everything is packed protectively for transit. If you would like additional blades, stands or accessories, see our accessories range.

Xenopixel V6 sabers connect via Bluetooth to the Xeno Configurator app, available on both iOS and Android. Search for it in your app store.

The app lets you change colours, switch sound fonts and adjust settings without touching the hilt buttons. Full instructions are in our lightsaber guide.

An RGB blade is a hollow polycarbonate tube with a diffuser. The light comes from an LED in the hilt and travels up the blade. Simple, extremely durable, nothing inside to break.

A Neopixel blade contains an LED strip running its full length. Every LED is individually controlled, which is what produces rising ignition, blade shimmer and localised clash flashes. Brighter and far more capable — but there are electronics inside the blade, so treat it with a little more respect.

All our manuals and button-combination guides are on the lightsaber instructions page, along with downloadable PDFs for each board type.

If you cannot find the one you need, just ask — we will send it over.

You have a 14-day statutory right to cancel any order for a full refund, a 30-day right to reject faulty goods for a full refund, and on top of those we offer a 60-day goodwill return window on unused, unopened items.

Because sabers are prepared to order, a 20% handling fee may apply if you cancel after we have begun preparing your order — this does not apply to unopened items returned within the 14-day window.

Full detail on the returns and refunds page.

Yes. Cancel free of charge at any point before we begin preparing your saber.

Once your order is in preparation, a 20% handling fee applies — this covers component allocation and order scheduling, which are genuine costs we cannot recover.

Your 14-day statutory cancellation right still applies once the goods are delivered.

Email jedimaster@replicasabers.co.uk with your order number and what you would like to do. We will issue a returns reference and the correct return address.

Please contact us first — items sent back without a returns reference may not be accepted. You are responsible for return postage and for the item until it reaches us, so use a tracked service.

Tell us as soon as you can, with clear photographs. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have a 30-day right to reject a faulty item for a full refund — and we cover return postage in that case.

After 30 days, we will repair or replace it under your 12-month warranty.

Yes, within the return windows above, on unused items in original packaging. Get in touch and we will sort it — if there is a price difference we will either refund or invoice the balance.

Work through these in order:

  • Charge it fully. First charge takes 6–8 hours; subsequent charges 3–4. A saber that has sat unused for months may appear dead when it is simply flat.
  • Check the kill switch. Many hilts have a physical cut-off that isolates the battery for transport. Make sure it is engaged.
  • Check the blade is fully seated and the retaining screw is snug.
  • Hold the power button longer. Some boards need a 2–3 second press, not a tap.

Still nothing? Email us. It is covered by the 12-month warranty.

Usually one of three things:

  • Crackling or distortion — often just the volume set too high for the speaker. Turn it down a notch and see if it clears.
  • A rattle when you swing — something has worked loose inside. Stop using it and contact us; a loose chassis can damage the wiring.
  • The wrong sounds entirely — you have probably switched sound font by accident. See the font list to change it back.

If the hilt powers on and makes sound but the blade stays dark:

  • Remove and reseat the blade. A blade not fully home will not make contact with the LED or the pixel strip.
  • Check the blade retention screw is not over-tightened — it can pinch the connector.
  • Try a different blade if you have one, to isolate whether the fault is in the blade or the hilt.

If the hilt is silent as well as dark, it is a power problem, not an LED one — see the question above.

Unresolved? It is a warranty repair. Get in touch.

Flickering almost always means a power or connection issue, not a broken LED:

  • Low battery is the most common cause by a distance. Charge it fully first.
  • Loose blade connection — remove, inspect the contacts, reseat firmly.
  • A knock has disturbed the chassis if it started after a heavy duel.

If it persists on a full charge with the blade properly seated, stop using it and contact us. Continuing to run a saber with an intermittent connection can damage the board.

Dispatch time is 5–11 days — every saber is prepared and tested to order. After dispatch, UK delivery takes 2–5 business days, international 7–14.

You will get a tracking number by email as soon as it leaves the workshop.

Yes, worldwide, with tracked delivery in 7–14 business days. We cover import duties for most major regions.

We will tell you. If an order is running long — a component delay, a failed QC check — you hear from us rather than wondering.

If it has been more than 11 days and you have heard nothing, chase us. Something has gone wrong and we want to know about it.

Yes. Our workshop is at 4 Mill Grange, Caistor, Lincolnshire. Every saber is checked, tested and dispatched from there — and repairs come back to us, not to a factory overseas.

See the workshop.

Yes. A tracking number is emailed to you the moment your saber is dispatched. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder, then email us.

Yes, we ship to BFPO addresses. Delivery times can be longer and less predictable than civilian addresses — get in touch before ordering if you have a deadline.

We are also listed with British Forces Discounts.

If tracking shows delivered but nothing arrived, tell us within 48 hours so we can open a courier investigation while the evidence is still available. Investigations take 3–5 days; if a parcel is formally confirmed lost, we arrange a replacement.

Important: if you asked the courier to leave it in a safe place, with a neighbour, or in a locker, that is at your own risk. Once the courier confirms delivery to the location you specified, responsibility passes to you. We will still help you claim, but we cannot refund a parcel delivered exactly as instructed.

Yes — free tracked UK delivery on all lightsabers and swords. A £4.50 fee applies to standalone accessory orders.

Tracked worldwide delivery in 7–14 business days. We cover VAT and import duties for most major regions, so the checkout price is final.

A few countries — including Germany, Poland and Turkey — may still apply local charges. Please check your own import rules before ordering. We cannot refund items seized by customs in territories where they are prohibited.

Custom work — bespoke fonts, non-standard configurations — runs longer than a standard 5–11 day dispatch. We will agree a timeline with you before taking payment.

Note that genuinely bespoke commissions are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right, since they are made to your specification. We will make that clear before you commit.

12 months from delivery, as standard, on every lightsaber and sword.

This sits alongside your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — it does not replace them.

Email jedimaster@replicasabers.co.uk with your order number, a description of the fault, and photos or a short video if the problem is visible.

We will try to solve it remotely first — a surprising number of faults are settings, not hardware. If it needs to come back, we will send return instructions.

Manufacturing defects and electronics faults: soundboard failure, LED or pixel strip failure, battery faults, wiring faults, switch failure.

It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, drops, water damage, unauthorised modification, or normal cosmetic wear from duelling. We will usually still offer a paid repair in those cases.

Yes, extended warranty is available. Ask us before or at the point of purchase and we will explain the options.

Contact us straight away with photographs. Under the Consumer Rights Act you have a 30-day right to reject a faulty item for a full refund, and we cover return postage.

After 30 days it becomes a warranty repair or replacement. Either way, email us and we will sort it.

Yes — the 12-month warranty applies wherever you are. Note that you are responsible for return shipping costs to the UK on international warranty claims, and repairs take longer simply because of transit time.

We still repair them. Get in touch with the fault and we will quote you. We would far rather fix a five-year-old saber than see it binned.

All major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and Klarna for buy-now-pay-later.

All payments are processed by established providers — your card details never touch our servers.

Pounds sterling (GBP). International customers pay in GBP; your bank handles the conversion at their rate.

Right here: privacy policy. In short — we collect what we need to sell you a saber and get it to your door, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Very. The site runs over HTTPS, and card data is handled entirely by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number.

Nothing is charged and no order is created. Usually it is a bank security check rather than a problem our end — try again, or use a different card.

If it keeps failing, let us know and we will help.

Yes — an order confirmation is emailed automatically. If you need a formal VAT invoice, just ask and we will send one.

We price our sabers honestly rather than inflating them and discounting back down. What you see is what it costs.

Any genuine offers are announced to our mailing list first — sign up if you would like to hear about them.

Enter it in the discount field at checkout, before payment. The total updates immediately.

If a valid code will not apply, tell us before you pay — we cannot retrospectively apply a code to a completed order.

No — one code per order.

Yes. We are listed with British Forces Discounts. Get in touch with proof of service and we will sort you out.

Yes, for genuine trade buyers. Trade pricing runs around 20% below RRP, with volume discounts up to 30%. See our wholesale page.

Three things, and they are all boring rather than glamorous.

Your point of contact is actually in the UK. A real workshop in Caistor, Lincolnshire, where every saber is checked and tested before it ships. That means no import fees for you, no customs delays, and repairs that come back to us in the UK rather than disappearing overseas.

Every saber is tested before it ships. A 14-point ignition and durability check. If it fails, it goes back on the bench. That is why dispatch takes 5–11 days rather than same-day — we are not just posting a sealed box the moment you order.

You get a person. When you email, a real person who knows the products reads it — and can answer a technical question about your soundboard rather than pointing you at a help page.

We are also honest about the trade-offs: RGB is tougher than Neopixel, our range is narrower than some competitors because we only sell boards we trust, and if the cheaper saber is right for you we will say so.
