Lightsaber Instructions: Setup & Operation

How to fit your blade, charge safely and unlock every effect on your Xenopixel V5/V6 or RGB saber — plus downloadable guides and the app.

Learning to use your lightsaber properly is part of the fun — and it keeps your saber in top working order for duelling, cosplay or display. These lightsaber instructions walk you through blade installation, charging and operation, with downloadable PDFs for every model below.

Getting started: secure the blade with the retention screws, charge fully at 5V 1A before first use, then power on with the main button. Select your model's PDF below for full ignition, colour, font and volume controls.

Blade Installation Step-by-Step

Installing the blade correctly matters for both performance and safety — especially for duelling or advanced Neopixel effects.

Align the blade

Slide the blade into the emitter, lining up the retention-screw hole (and the LED connector on Neopixel blades) with the hilt.

Secure the retention screws

Tighten the grub screw(s) with the supplied hex key until the blade is firmly held — snug, not over-torqued.

Check soundboard alignment

On Neopixel models, make sure the blade's LED strip seats cleanly against the connector for a stable electrical contact.

Test ignition

Power on and confirm the blade lights evenly from hilt to tip before any use.

Charging Your Saber

Proper charging protects battery health, brightness and overall performance. Use the correct USB-C cable and watch the charge indicator.

⚠️ Charge at 5V 1A only. Never use a fast charger or laptop block — high wattage can overheat the soundboard and Li-ion battery and void your warranty.

Setup FAQs

How do I install my lightsaber blade?
Align the blade with the emitter (matching the retention-screw hole and, on Neopixel models, the LED connector), tighten the grub screws with the supplied hex key until firm, check the soundboard/LED connection, then power on and confirm the blade lights evenly. See the downloadable installation PDF for full detail.
How long should I charge my lightsaber?
Charge fully before first use at 5V 1A, watching the charge indicator, and disconnect once complete. Never use a fast charger. See the charging guide PDF for exact times and indicator behaviour for your model.
How do I change the blade colour or sound font?
Use the button controls described in your model's operation guide, or the Xeno Configurator app (iOS and Android) for Xenopixel boards, which lets you change colours, fonts and effects from your phone.
Which guide do I need for my saber?
Pick the guide matching your soundboard — Xenopixel/Neopixel V6, Xenopixel/Neopixel V5, or RGB — from the model section above. Each PDF covers ignition styles, colour, fonts and volume for that board.
