Where We're Based and How We Work
We operate from our workshop in Caistor, Lincolnshire, where every lightsaber we sell is inspected, assembled, and tested before it ships. We're not a fulfilment service. When you buy from us, your saber is handled by people who actually know what they're looking at.
Our team includes James as founder and technical lead, and Sophie as customer service manager — both based in Lincolnshire, both reachable by phone or email, and both capable of answering a technical question about your soundboard rather than pointing you at a FAQ page.

We back every lightsaber with a 12-month UK warranty covering electronics and manufacturing defects, handled entirely in-house at our Caistor workshop.
James Angelo — Founder & Head Smith
James Angelo has been building sci-fi props professionally since 2013, working across the film and media industry on everything from costumes and swords to screen-used props for music videos and YouTube productions. That's over a decade of hands-on fabrication work before Replica Sabers existed — understanding how materials behave, how electronics fail under pressure, and what separates a prop that looks good in a photo from one that actually holds up in someone's hands.
Lightsabers have been a constant throughout. James's fascination with Star Wars spans more than 30 years, and over that time he built up what most people would consider an unreasonable collection — every major character represented, with his personal favourite being Luke Skywalker's Return of the Jedi saber, the one that in his words captures everything the saga is about in a single hilt.
Replica Sabers launched in 2022 for a specific reason: James couldn't find a UK lightsaber he was genuinely satisfied with. Not at the quality level his fabrication background told him was achievable. So he built the business around closing that gap — sourcing and assembling hilts to a standard he'd be happy to add to his own collection, backed by the kind of technical support that only comes from someone who has actually taken these things apart and put them back together hundreds of times.
