Core Care Protection

The core is the part of a lightsaber that does the thinking — soundboard, battery, speaker and wiring. It’s what makes a saber ignite, swing and clash rather than just glow, and it’s the part most likely to need attention over years of use.

What’s Covered

Accidental damage included. Drops, knocks and duelling impacts that take out the electronics — not covered by the standard warranty.

• ✓Battery & charging — power loss, charging faults and batteries that stop holding a charge
• ✓Speaker — distortion, crackle, rattle or total loss of sound output
• ✓Internal wiring — connections, switches and the chassis loom inside the hilt

How a Claim Works

1. Get in touch — message us with your order number and a short description of the fault.
2. We diagnose — we’ll work out whether it’s the board, battery, speaker or wiring.
3. We replace it — the electronics are replaced and your saber comes back working.

Handled here in the UK — no overseas returns, no third-party claims process, and no arguing over whether a knock during a duel counts. With accidental damage included, it does.

What’s Not Covered

User modification. If the saber has been opened, rewired, had a different board fitted or been altered internally, the cover no longer applies — we can’t stand behind electronics someone else has been inside. Everything else that goes wrong with the core is covered, whether it’s a fault or an accident.

Worth It?

A replacement Proffie board costs considerably more than £39.99, and a soundboard failure in month 14 is exactly the kind of thing that leaves a saber sitting in a drawer. Two years of cover — including the drops and clashes that come with actually using it — is the difference between a repair and a write-off.

Adding Core Care

Add it to your basket alongside your saber, or within 30 days of your original order. Cover runs from the date your saber was delivered and continues for 24 months in total.

Core Care Protection is an extended warranty provided directly by Replica Sabers. It is not an insurance product. This cover is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Cover applies to the electronics only — hilt finish and cosmetic damage are covered separately under Hilt Care Protection.
