Hilt Care Protection

Duelling marks a hilt. Blade-on-hilt contact scuffs the finish, a dropped saber dents an emitter, and years of handling wear down anodising. None of that stops a saber working — but it’s the difference between a hilt that looks like a screen prop and one that looks like it’s been through a war.

Battle Damage Protection

If you duel, your hilt takes hits. Blades catch the emitter, sabers get dropped mid-spar, and the finish takes knocks that no standard warranty covers. Hilt Care does — because a saber you’re afraid to use isn’t much of a saber.

The standard 12-month warranty covers manufacturing faults. It doesn’t cover the marks that come from actually duelling with the thing. Hilt Care Protection adds a further 12 months and extends cover to physical and battle damage across the whole hilt.

How a Claim Works

1. Send us a photo — message us with your order number and a picture of the damage.
2. We assess it — we’ll tell you whether it’s a repair or a replacement hilt.
3. We sort it — repaired or replaced, handled here in the UK.

No overseas returns, no third-party claims process, and no debate about whether duelling marks count. They do — that’s the entire point of the plan.

What’s Not Covered

User modification. If the hilt has been drilled, re-anodised, repainted, machined or otherwise altered, the cover no longer applies — we can’t stand behind a hilt someone else has reworked. Everything else that happens to it is covered, fault or accident.

Duel Without Wincing

Most people buy a saber to use it, then find themselves treating it like an ornament because the first scratch hurts. Two years of cover including battle damage removes that hesitation. Spar with it, take it to events, actually swing the thing — and if the hilt takes a knock it shouldn’t have, we deal with it.

Adding Hilt Care

Add it to your basket alongside your saber, or within 30 days of your original order. Cover runs from the date your saber was delivered and continues for 24 months in total. Pairs naturally with Core Care Protection, which covers the electronics inside.

Hilt Care Protection is an extended warranty provided directly by Replica Sabers. It is not an insurance product. This cover is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Cover applies to the hilt and its physical fittings — soundboard, battery, speaker and wiring are covered separately under Core Care Protection.
