RGB V2 vs Xenopixel / Neopixel

RGB V2 (baselit) sabers light the blade from a single LED in the hilt, offering a wide range of colours and solid effects at the best value, and the most impact-resistant build for duelling. Xenopixel and Neopixel sabers use a strip of individually-lit LEDs inside the blade for ultra-bright, uniform illumination and advanced effects. See our electronics guide and buyer’s guide.

Bluetooth is only available on RGB V2 and Xenopixel V3.

The Story of the Legacy Graflex Lightsaber – EP7 Edition

‘That lightsaber was Luke’s. And his father’s before him. And now, it calls to you.’ Lost for decades after the duel on Cloud City, the authentic Legacy Graflex Lightsaber resurfaced in the depths of Maz Kanata’s castle.

This replica recreates the slightly weathered, battle-worn configuration seen in Episode VII, complete with the iconic glass eye and revised grip layout. For a deep dive into the canonical history of this specific hilt design, you can read the full lore on the Wookieepedia Skywalker Lightsaber archive.

Famous Battles & Moments

The Awakening

Hidden away in a wooden chest on Takodana, the saber calls out to Rey, triggering a torrent of Force visions that bridge the prequel, original, and sequel eras in one breathtaking sequence.

The Snow Forest Duel

Ignited in the snowy woods of Starkiller Base, Finn bravely wields this hilt against Kylo Ren to defend his friend, proving that you do not need to be a Jedi to stand up to the dark side.

The Pass Down

The iconic cliffside moment on Ahch-To. Rey climbs the ancient Jedi steps to offer the weapon back to a much older, exiled Luke Skywalker — a symbol of hope returning to the galaxy.

History of the Saber

The EP7 configuration represents the weapon in its third cinematic era. It features subtle differences from its A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back appearances, making it a highly specific and sought-after variation for sequel trilogy fans and dedicated prop collectors.

Combat Style

In the sequel era, this hilt is wielded with raw, unpolished power. From Finn’s desperate swings to Rey’s aggressive, survival-based strikes, the EP7 Graflex handles beautifully for two-handed heavy duelling and broad, sweeping attacks.

Why Collectors Want the Legacy Graflex Lightsaber

While the original 1977 version is pristine, the EP7 edition represents the weapon’s incredible survival through decades of galactic war. It is the perfect piece for fans of the new generation of heroes, offering a more affordable entry point into the Skywalker legacy without sacrificing duelling durability.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the EP4 Graflex?
The EP7 version reflects the prop as it appeared in The Force Awakens. It has subtle design variations in the clamp, grips, and the iconic “glass eye” placement compared to the original 1977 model.
Is this a good lightsaber for heavy duelling?
Absolutely. The hilt is machined from 6063 aluminium with a thick polycarbonate blade. If you plan on heavy, full-contact striking, we highly recommend selecting the RGB V2 soundboard option.
Can I change the blade to red?
Yes. While it is famous for its Jedi blue blade, our soundboards feature infinite colour changing, allowing you to cycle to red, green, purple, and many more on demand.
Are the electronics inside protected?
Yes, both the RGB V2 and Xenopixel V3 electronics are secured within a hard-wearing internal chassis to absorb the shock of impact during combat.
Does it come ready to use?
Yes. Every saber ships fully assembled and tested from our UK workshop, with the blade, USB-C charger, and tools included.
