Ember Ryu Katana | Dojo & Display Samurai Sword

The Ember Ryu katana is a magnificent handmade samurai sword designed for the bold collector and dedicated martial arts practitioner. Drawing inspiration from the fierce energy of mythological dragons, this stunning piece pairs vibrant aesthetics with the respected geometry of a traditional Japanese katana.

Forged from folded carbon steel using traditional methods, the Ember Ryu katana demands attention. The sword features a gracefully curved blade complete with a traditional bo-hi (blood groove) running along its spine. Choose between an unedged blade for safe display and form practice, or a razor-sharp live blade for traditional cutting. The hilt is defined by its vivid orange handle wrap (ito), which contrasts sharply against the intricate, open-work black guard (tsuba) and the brass-toned blade collar (habaki).

Design Aesthetics of the Ember Ryu Katana

Housing the blade of the Ember Ryu katana is a striking red scabbard (saya) adorned with dark, winding dragon motifs. The scabbard is elegantly finished with a contrasting blue and gold two-tone sageo cord tied around the kurigata (knob), making it a true centerpiece for any room.

Whether you are displaying it on a mantle or adding it to your broader collection alongside our Samurai Sword & Katana armory, this traditionally crafted sword is built to impress.

UK Workshop Inspected & Verified

Drop-shipped swords often suffer from loose fittings and blade rattle. Before dispatch, every Ember Ryu katana is rigorously evaluated on our Lincolnshire workbench. We manually verify the seating of the dual bamboo pegs (Mekugi), test the tension of the handle wrap (Ito), and confirm the blade alignment within the scabbard (Saya) to guarantee a flawless, rattle-free draw.

Live Blade Liability: If purchasing a sharpened (Shinken) live blade, please note these are intended strictly for professional martial arts test cutting (Tameshigiri). Replica Sabers accepts no liability for injury caused by the mishandling of live blades.

Legal Notice: As a handmade, traditionally forged curved blade, this sword is fully exempt from the UK Offensive Weapons Act. It is 100% legal to purchase and own in the UK without a martial arts licence. Mandatory 18+ age verification applies at checkout.
