Darth Maul’s lightsaber is a double-bladed saberstaff with two red blades — the first of its kind seen on screen, and still the most imitated. A single long hilt, ignited at both ends, designed for a fighting style no one had faced before. We build it in 3 configurations, assembled and tested in our Caistor workshop.

About Darth Maul

Darth Maul is the Sith apprentice who introduced the saberstaff to the saga — and survived long past the duel that was supposed to end him. Trained from childhood as a weapon, he fights with a speed and aggression no Jedi of his era had prepared for.

His signature weapon

Maul carries a double-bladed saberstaff: one long hilt, a blade at each end. It is a weapon that demands constant motion, turning defence into attack in the same movement. Our Maul range recreates that design across several builds, each machined from aircraft-grade aluminium.

Blade and colour

Both his blades burn Sith red, and every Maul saber we build ships with red blades as standard. Most boards also let you change colour on demand. Our saber wiki covers what each blade colour signifies.

Why own a Maul saber

Nothing else in a collection has the same presence. A full saberstaff is a statement piece on a stand and a genuinely different thing to handle in a duel. Browse the range above, then check each product page for specifics.

Darth Maul Lightsaber FAQs

Is Darth Maul’s lightsaber double-bladed?
Yes. Maul’s weapon is a saberstaff — a single long hilt with a blade ignited at each end. It was the first double-bladed lightsaber shown on screen and remains his defining feature. Our Maul sabers recreate the full staff.
Can the Darth Maul saberstaff be split into two?
Some saberstaff designs separate into two independent hilts and some are fixed. Which applies depends on the build — check the individual product page above, where the construction is set out in full.
Are your Darth Maul lightsabers duel-ready?
Yes. Every Maul saber uses thick-walled polycarbonate blades and a reinforced chassis, so it stands up to light and medium duelling. For heavy contact, an RGB board is the more impact-resistant choice — there are no electronics inside the blade to damage.
Where can I buy a Darth Maul lightsaber in the UK?
Directly from us. Every saber is assembled and quality-checked in our Caistor workshop and ships from within the UK — free delivery, no import fees, and a 12-month warranty.
