How to Customise Your Xenopixel V3: A Step-by-Step UK Guide

Expert guide on how to customise a Xenopixel V3 lightsaber hilt using the mobile app in the UK.

One of the greatest joys of owning a modern Lightsaber is the ability to make it truly your own. If you’ve recently purchased a hilt featuring the Xenopixel V3-V6 soundboard, you are holding one of the most versatile pieces of tech in the galaxy.

Unlike older models, the Xenopixel V3 allows for deep customisation via Bluetooth and SD card. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to tailor your saber’s blade effects, colours, and sounds right here in the UK.

1. Connecting to the XenoConfigurator App

The easiest way to customise your lightsaber is via the official mobile app.

  • Step 1: Download the XenoConfigurator app (available on iOS and Android).

  • Step 2: Power on your saber and enable Bluetooth on your phone.

  • Step 3: Connect and begin tweaking. You can change the "Blade Style" (Standard, Pulse, Unstable, or Rainbow) with a single tap.

2. Adding New Sound Fonts

Want your lightsaber to sound like a specific Master or Villain?

  • The SD Card: Your hilt contains a micro-SD card. By connecting this to your PC, you can drag and drop new sound files.

  • UK Tip: Ensure your sound files are in .wav format. We recommend the "Kyberphonic" or "KSith" font libraries, which are highly popular in the UK lightsaber community.

3. Gesture Controls: The "Real" Jedi Experience

The Xenopixel V3 features high-sensitivity accelerometers. You can enable or disable:

  • Swing on Ignition: Turn the hilt to ignite the blade.

  • Stab Effects: A thrusting motion triggers a "melt" effect on the blade tip.

  • Pull to Turn Off: A quick "pull back" motion retracts the blade.

4. Safety & Battery Care for UK Users

Because we use high-capacity lithium-ion batteries, it’s important to use the correct charging equipment.

  • Always use a 5V 1A wall plug. Avoid using "Fast Chargers" designed for modern smartphones, as these can overheat the soundboard.

  • If you're storing your lightsaber for a long period between UK conventions, we recommend removing the battery to preserve its lifespan.
