Dark Sister is one of the two ancestral Valyrian steel swords of House Targaryen — the other being Blackfyre. It has been in the possession of House Targaryen since before Aegon's Conquest, and may have been forged for a woman warrior originally, as its slender blade is designed for a woman's hand. Blades UK
Where Blackfyre was a broad, imposing hand-and-a-half sword suited to warrior kings, Dark Sister is altogether more elegant — a slender, quick longsword built for precision and speed. Queen Visenya Targaryen was skilled in the use of Dark Sister, having trained beside her younger brother King Aegon I Targaryen since childhood. After Visenya's death, Dark Sister passed through generations of Targaryens — carried by Maegor the Cruel, the Dragonknight Aemon Targaryen, and ultimately into the hands of Daemon Targaryen, the Rogue Prince, as a reward for his military prowess. It is Daemon's ownership of Dark Sister that makes it so prominent in House of the Dragon, where it is seen throughout the series as the blade of the most dangerous and charismatic Targaryen of his generation.
This full-size Dark Sister replica is crafted in stainless steel with a mirrored blade finish, a dragon-scale cast metal guard with silver antique effect, and a leather-wrapped grip.
